The NSS-2 BRIDGE (known as The BRIDGE) is an FDA-approved device that helps with the withdrawal pain and associated symptoms for opiate (heroin) and opioid (oxycontin, methadone, suboxone) addicts. This device is an auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator that connects topically to the patient’s ear, blocking pain signals from getting through the brain.

How does it work?
Through the opiate withdrawal process, pain can be debilitating and in some cases, a major deterrent to detox. The BRIDGE device combines the latest cutting-edge micro technology with Innovative Health Solutions software in a battery-operated peripheral nerve stimulator that fits discreetly behind the ear and sends gentle electrical impulses directly into the brain, blocking pain signals. It works with cranial nerves and the occipital nerves associated with the uppermost part of the CNS (Central Nervous System) and stimulates branches of Cranial Nerves V, VII, IX, X, as well as trans-illuminated occipital nerves, delivering relief to the body.
It typically takes 15 minutes for our team to fit The BRIDGE Device behind the patient’s ear and correctly place the needle arrays at specific points on the earlobe. From there, the patient will wear the device for a 4-5 day period — during the worst of the withdrawal process. Following this 4-5 day period, the device can be safely removed.

A 10-day BR+ NAD program is recommended for opiate detoxes and a 15-day program works best for opioid detox. During this time, you’ll get fitted for a BRIDGE device and also receive daily doses of:
