BR+ NAD and NAD+ therapy are often touted as a treatment for age-related and metabolic conditions, addiction and other ailments, but what exactly are they? In this blog post, we’ll break down what each treatment is.
What is NAD IV therapy?
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, more commonly known as NAD+, is a pyridine nucleotide that’s present in every cell and is a key factor in metabolic regulationl. It is “an essential cofactor and substrate for a number of critical cellular processes involved in oxidative phosphorylation and ATP production, DNA repair, epigenetically modulated gene expression, intracellular calcium signaling, and immunological functions,” according to a 2019 study in Antioxidants and Redox Signaling.
The same study goes on to discuss the role of NAD IV therapy: “At present, intravenous infusion of NAD+ is the only recognized effective means of clinically increasing systemic NAD+ levels.”

What is BR+ NAD?
BR+ NAD was originated and produced at the Springfield Wellness Center in Springfield, Louisiana.
“BR+NAD® is an IV protocol that administers a co-enzyme of vitamin B3, along with oral combinations of amino acids, vitamins and minerals,” the Springfield Wellness Center says of its proprietary treatment. “This process renders the patient nearly or completely free of cravings and withdrawal symptoms.”
The IV Elements team attended the Springfield Wellness Center 2020 NAD+ Brain Restoration Summit to learn more about the ways BR+ NAD is being used to treat conditions, ranging from PTSD to Parkinson’s, with an emphasis on addiction.
Is NAD+ & BR+ NAD IV therapy safe?
IV Elements is an educated and trained company in BR+ NAD therapy and a leading BR+ NAD center in New Jersey. With our substance abuse medical providers, IV Elements is able to assist with suboxone, subutex, naltrexone and more during our BR+ NAD programs. Most of the BR+ NAD programs originated from Springfield Wellness Center with some additions by IV Elements. IV Elements provides focused and individualized programs for substance abuse, weight loss, Parkinson’s, and mental health disorders.
Both the Antioxidants and Redox Signaling and a Pharmaceuticals (Basel) study from 2020 acknowledged that more research is needed to fully determine the efficacy of NAD+ in developing targeted therapies, but they also suggest that NAD seems to be safe for humans.
How much does BR+ NAD therapy cost?
The price of BR+ NAD therapy can vary depending on the provider and how it’s being used. IV Elements offers three shorter-term programs at any of our New Jersey locations. Longer-term detox programs, ranging from six to 15 days. All programs can be done at our locations or in the convenience of your own home. Many programs are done mobile due to privacy and one on one care.
IV Elements also offers special services: Tru Niagen and NAD+ injections. The Tru Niagen treatment consists of 60 300 mg capsules that are taken orally every day. The injections can be either subcutaneous or intramuscular.
